We raise Mangalitsa, Berkshire, and Mangalitsa/Heritage cross pigs. This breed is considered the “Kobe Beef” of the pork world and is highly sought after for its deliciously marbled red meat and lard. Our pigs are pasture raised and allowed to spend their days foraging through grasses and woodlots, lounging in the sun, or rolling in the mud after a rain. We also provide our pigs with a NON-GMO, Corn Free, Soy Free, Hormone Free, and Antibiotic Free supplemental feed regiment consisting of our own mixture of wheat, oats, and barley.
These European Style methods have proven to produce meat that is more flavorful and tender than your average pork, and better for the consumer. Our methods produce pork that is lower in polyunsaturated fat and higher in omega 3 acid, linoleic acid (“good” fatty acid that helps lower cholesterol), Vitamin E, and Vitamin D.
We raise our egg layers and meat birds on rotation pastures without the use of antibiotics or hormones. We supplement the pastures with our very own non-GMO, soy free, and corn free mix.
